PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £25,200 - £30,200 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. Purpose of the role
BBC Audio North is the single biggest supplier of BBC radio programmes and podcasts made outside of London. We love audio and make lots of it - a rich mix of content spanning multiple genres including consumer, investigations, documentaries, religion and arts for national BBC Radio, the World Service and Sounds.
Your key responsibilities and impact
* You will manage studio, workshop, and meeting room bookings, along with IT and phone assets, laptop and locker allocation, car parking, staff rotas, annual leave requests, sickness absence logging, and general database and IT support.
* Organise ID passes, greet visitors to the department, and coordinate hospitality for large meetings and events.
* Assist production coordinators with travel and accommodation bookings, event accreditation, visa requests, and production paperwork including music reporting in Proteus (or similar).
* Liaise with Facilities Management, order office supplies, allocate production equipment, and act as the first point of contact for team queries.
* Maintain accurate records and reporting using BBC systems such as Proteus (or similar), ensuring compliance with internal processes and standards.
* Support and implement practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production activities.
Minimum requirements / Qualifications
* Enthusiasm for Radio and Podcasts - a genuine interest in audio content, with a proactive attitude and a passion for supporting creative teams.
* Demonstrable experience of dealing with a wide range of administrative skills such as managing facilities bookings and accreditation, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with others as part of a team in a professional broadcast/production environment, as well as the ability to work independently.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities, with confidence to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders across teams and departments.
* Experience using Microsoft Office 365, or a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, with a solid working knowledge of Excel (this will be assessed as part of the interview process).
