The Opportunity: Mobile Heavy Mechanical Engineer
Contract: Permanent
Location: Glasgow/Central Belt Scotland
United Plant Services is an engineering and asset management business, renowned for providing market-leading engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry. We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group, a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:
* The service and maintenance of Heavy Plant Equipment
* Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and thorough inspections of equipment
* Ensuring customer service is maintained at a high level and any queries are addressed
* Adhering to safety guidelines and all policies set out by customers and United Plant
* Completing job activities electronically and ensuring all required parts are ordered
* Maintaining company vehicle to a high standard and correctly stocked
* Maintaining and developing customer relationships through high standards of service
What will help you to excel in this role:
* Relevant technical qualification NVQ level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent
* Previous experience working on Heavy Plant and machinery
* Experience on Liebherr, CAT, Komatsu, Volvo
* Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
* The ability to work independently and under pressure
* The ability to manage and prioritize workload
* Understanding customer needs
* Flexible and committed employee
