About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate, Community and Events Manager to join our growing team at Playskill. It is an exciting time to join us as we have ambitious growth plans, to triple the number of families we support, and triple the interventions we currently offer.

Playskill is the only charity in Hertfordshire, and one of only a few in the UK, supporting pre-school aged children with physical disabilities and delays and their families through free specialist playgroups, family support, respite events and training. Specialists in Early Intervention, our work centres on working with children in those key early developmental windows up to the age of 5.

Working as part of the Fundraising team you will lead on all things, Corporate, Community and Events with support from the Head of Fundraising and CEO who are both experienced fundraisers. You will lead on exciting events such as the Playskill Golf Day now in its third year, implement a new community event and build on both local and national partnerships that are in place already.

We are looking for a motivated fundraiser who knows their stuff and can work independently and as part of team.

This will be only Playskill's second Full-Time role but shows how invested the Board of Trustees are in developing our team. Salary for the role is between £35,000 with Hybrid working in our Hemel Hempstead office.

Job Purpose
Identify new opportunities and grow Playskill's community income.

Recruit and steward new community supporters into the organisation.

Line manage the Fundraising Officer.

Lead the organisation of the Playskill Golf Day in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising including sponsorship and team fulfilment.

Working with the wider fundraising team introduce a new small scale fundraising event to the Playskill calendar in the local community.

Identify and recruit new community groups to support Playskill for Charity of the Year partnerships.

Identify new corporate giving opportunities/partnerships and grow Playskill's corporate income.

Steward and develop existing corporate relationships.

Work with the Head of Fundraising to secure teams and sponsorship for the annual Playskill Golf Day.

Introduce a new small scale corporate fundraising mechanism to bring regular giving income in.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the Community Income stream with support from the Head of Fundraising.

Manage all aspects of the event income stream with support from the Head of Fundraising.

Manage all aspects of the Corporate Income stream with support from the Head of Fundraising.

Line manage the Fundraising Officer including conducting Support & Development meetings and Appraisals.

Lead on the organisation of the annual Playskill Golf Day, working with the Head of Fundraising to secure teams and sponsorship as well as liaising with the venue and suppliers.

Working with the wider Fundraising Team, introduce a new community fundraising event into the calendar of events to bring new supporters to Playskill from the local community. This could be a colour run, carol concert or something else.

Work with the wider Playskill team on any Playskill wide events such as Springfest.

Working with the Fundraising Officer, identify any community groups to seek Charity of the Year partnerships or donations.

Working with the Fundraising Officer recruit new Golf Clubs to the organisation as Charity of the Year Partnerships -securing at least one every year.

Accurately maintain and record all donations, communications and stewardship actions onto Donorfy including thanking at appropriate levels and in a timely fashion and ensuring all connections and relevant information is stored.

Introduce a new community campaign to sit alongside current campaigns to encourage new supporters into Playskill.

Work with the fundraising and wider Playskill team for all events (Playskill and third party), campaigns and special projects as required.

Attend fundraising events as required. This may be outside normal working hours. TOIL will be granted.
Provide reports on a quarterly basis or when asked on your area of income streams vs budgets or targets set.

Work with the MarComms Lead to ensure all campaigns and events are promoted correctly and in a timely manner.
