We’re looking for a super creative and ridiculously proactive Social Media Manager to join our small but mighty content marketing agency in Cheltenham.
At Content Chef, we serve up delicious, creative content for brilliant brands – from steakhouses and global cocktail brands to tech companies and charities. Now, we need someone experienced who can manage social accounts like a pro, keep our content on trend, and isn’t afraid to pick up a proper camera and nail the shot.
You’ll need to be a genuine self-starter who can work independently without losing momentum, adapt quickly when plans change, and bring fresh ideas to the table without waiting for a brief.

Job details:
* Role: Social Media Manager (With Videography & Photography Experience).
* Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
* Type: Full-time.
* Salary: DOE.
* Start date: ASAP.
* Flexible working – Must be able to work with us at our office/co-working spaces 2-3 times a week when required and attend client shoots around Gloucestershire.
* Driving licence preferred.
What you’ll be cooking up (responsibilities):
* Managing and growing client social accounts (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).
* Creating and editing high-quality photo and video content that actually performs.
* Shooting on location and in the office – if you’ve got your own camera, even better.
* Planning and scheduling posts, writing captions (no ChatGPT please), and keeping on top of trends.
* Accompanying our Content Creator and wider team on shoots – and being ready to jump in and capture moments yourself.
* Running with ideas from concept to post without waiting to be told exactly what to do.
* Tracking performance, reporting results, and tweaking strategies so they keep working harder.
* Bringing marketing fundamentals into everything you do – you know why we’re doing things, not just how.
* Supporting with SEO-friendly content and understanding how social fits into wider marketing goals.
* Supporting our Content Creator on standalone brand shoots.
You should apply if you:
* Have proven photography and videography experience (essential – if you have your own camera, even better).
* Have knowledge and experience in SEO/keywords.
* Have experience in developing social media strategies from scratch and feel comfortable reporting on your findings to clients.
* Are proactive with trends, come up with ideas, and run with them.
* Have experience managing multiple social media accounts – including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
* Are outgoing and up for being on location, working closely with the team and clients.
* Can edit content quickly and to a high standard.
* Understand the fundamentals of marketing and can explain the “why” behind your approach.
* Are adaptable, eager to learn, and can work independently without constant supervision.
* Love marketing and want to grow your career in this field.
* Can commute to Cheltenham when needed.
* Desirable: Paid social experience.
