An exciting opportunity has arisen within the office of the Care at Home team based in Kirkwall.
About the role
As a Social Care Co-ordinator (SSC), you will play a vital role in managing and providing Care at Home services on the Orkney Mainland and throughout the Isles. You will support the Registered Manager and our geographically based teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high-quality service.
You will work with individual service users, families, and partner agencies to develop person-centered care packages that meet the individuals' outcomes and support independence. Your responsibilities include assessing needs, creating support plans, participating in quality assurance, and supporting staff recruitment and training.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold either an SVQ4 in Social Services and Health Care or a practice qualification meeting SSSC registration requirements, such as HNC in Health and Social Care or SVQ3 (SCQF7). A supervisory or management qualification is preferred, but if not held, must be achieved within the first registration period.
Requirements
You must be able to travel efficiently within Orkney, and the role is subject to PVG scheme membership for regulated work with adults.
