Job Description
Charity Jobs NI, part of the Happy Jobs group, is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator. This role involves coordinating and managing environmental quality and certification programs, engaging with communities, and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordination: Manage resources and team members to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote participation in sustainability initiatives and expand program coverage.
5. Communications: Serve as the main contact, respond to inquiries, represent the organization, and create content for various platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist with research, policy analysis, and stay updated on assessment methodologies.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
* Essential: Relevant degree or equivalent experience, with at least 1 year in surveying or auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
* Desirable: Experience in data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office)
* Full driving license and access to transport
Additional Details
* Hybrid working model with at least 2 days in Belfast office
* 4-day work week (30 hours) trialled at full pay

Salary & Contract
£30,328 per annum, permanent position, funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
