About the Role
As a Class 1 Shunter, you will:
* Assist with general yard duties as needed to maintain site efficiency and safety.
* Move vehicles from the yard to the workshop for their inspection.
* Load trailers so they are prepared for their brake tests.
* Ensure vehicles are clean and tidy by using the designated HGV washing facility.
* Conduct thorough daily vehicle safety inspections using the company-issued mobile device to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance.
* Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
* Attend regular training sessions to stay up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously enhancing your skills and expertise.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
1. Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
2. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
3. Forklift License (training can be provided for the right candidate).
