We're on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Factory Supervisor to join our growing team in a fast-paced food production environment. If you're passionate about quality, safety, and leading teams to success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all work practices are compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act, understanding both your own and the company's responsibilities.
* Supervise all Product Leaders, Machine Operators, and Operatives in the factory to ensure tasks are carried out to company standards and instructions at all times.
* Monitor production lines to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently in line with daily production schedules.
* Drive performance by ensuring production lines are meeting agreed KPIs and production standards; report any underperformance or issues directly to the Factory Manager.
* Support the Factory Manager on all efficiency, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor daily staffing levels; promptly report any staff shortages or deviations to the Factory Manager.
* Ensure regular checks are completed on blades, shredder belts, and other critical equipment to maintain integrity and operational safety.
* Identify and report technical issues to your Line Manager and/or Engineering team immediately.
* Proactively isolate risks and ensure corrective actions are taken in response to contamination or safety concerns.
* Promote and enforce strict health, hygiene, and PPE standards across the team.
* Guarantee that all products are produced, stored, and delivered in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and integrity of food products in compliance with the Food Safety Act 1990.
* Ensure all team members are fully trained and signed off for their roles. Recognise opportunities for upskilling and report potential candidates to the Factory Manager for development.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or food production environment.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
* Ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining high standards.
* A problem-solver with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Someone who thrives in a busy, hands-on role and is committed to continuous improvement.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
