At Peterborough College, part of the Inspire Education Group (IEG), we’re on the lookout for a driven, people-focused Careers and Employability Coach to support our adult learners (aged 19+) on their journey to brighter futures.

 2. Deliver engaging, practical workshops on employability, job searching, CV writing, LinkedIn and interview skills
 3. Champion career-related events and national campaigns like National Careers Week
 4. Support learners through university and UCAS applications — reviewing personal statements and boosting confidence
 5. Build relationships with local employers, guest speakers and community groups to connect students to opportunities
 6. Use digital tools to guide learners through today’s ever-changing job market
 7. Track your impact — because what you do will make a difference

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:
 8. A natural motivator and mentor who connects easily with adults from all walks of life
 9. Confident running workshops or group sessions (bonus if you've delivered training or tutorials!)
 10. Super organised, tech-savvy, and ready to take initiative
 11. Passionate about education, employability, and creating meaningful change
 12. Collaborative and comfortable working across departments, events and projects
What You’ll Need
 13. Level 3 qualification (minimum)
 14. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4+)
 15. A careers or IAG qualification (Level 3 or higher)
 16. A strong background in customer service, careers support, employability, or education
What We Offer
 17. 30 days’ annual leave + bank holidays + extra discretionary days
 18. Excellent pension scheme (Local Government Pension Scheme)
 19. Funded enhanced DBS check
 20. A culture that values professional development, wellbeing, and a supportive team ethos
 21. The opportunity to genuinely change lives every single day
 Final Word
This isn’t just a job. It’s a calling.
If you're the kind of person who lights up when someone lands their first job, gets into uni, or realises what they’re truly capable of — you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
Join us. Empower futures. Be the reason someone says, “I couldn’t have done it without you.”
