The FIA is seeking a skilled communications professional to join its communications Department as Presidential Communications Officer.
Based in the FIA’s London office, you will support the Head of Presidential Communications in delivering the FIA President’s global communications strategy. Your responsibilities will include media relations, content creation, speechwriting, and the coordination of social media activities.
This position requires a high degree of flexibility, with occasional travel to institutional events and the ability to work outside of standard office hours when it is required. In return, you will be part of a dynamic and impactful communications environment at the heart of the FIA’s international agenda.
This is a motorsport-adjacent position, covering the FIA President’s broader remit across mobility, sustainability, road safety, and institutional affairs.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Media Relations & Strategic Communications
* Act as a point of contact for global journalists across a wide range of sectors
* Contribute to the development and execution of media strategies, including the United Against Online Abuse campaign
* Draft high-quality communications materials such as speeches, press releases, statements, Q&As, and briefing documents for the FIA President
Social Media & Content Coordination
* Plan, create, and coordinate social media content for the FIA President, with a particular focus on Instagram
* Collaborate with the Presidential Content Creator to ensure consistent tone, messaging and visual identity
* Manage editorial calendars and contribute to the creative direction of digital communications
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Liaise regularly with the President’s Office and work closely with Corporate Communications, Sport Communications, Sustainability and Mobility teams
* Align messaging and communication activities with the FIA President’s strategic priorities
Project and Operational Support
* Contribute to the coordination and communication of FIA institutional digital assets
* Maintain shared documents and tools used by the Communications team
* Provide logistical and operational support for communication-related activities, including during international events when required
PROFILE:
* A strong interest in public relations, geopolitics, sustainability, and the business of sport is essential.
* A bachelor's degree in English literature, political science, international relations, or any other relevant academic field is required; postgraduate qualifications are also welcome
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in public relations
* Previous experience in a communications agency is preferred
* Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, and their strategic use in high-level communication
* Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset
* Full proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools such as Monday.com, Meltwater or Cision is an asset
* Social content editing experience desired but not essential
* Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, international environment
* Good interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
