If you're a Site Services Engineer who wants ownership, variety and responsibility — someone who takes pride in keeping boilers, refrigeration, utilities and effluent systems running safely and reliably. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a manufacturing operation, where your expertise directly protects uptime, compliance and performance every single day.
You'd be working on a 4on 4off days and night shift, supporting across this major FMCG site. You will be a key member ensuring all site services are maintained but not just that. you will be a driving force in projects.
What you’ll be responsible for
You’ll provide technical support across all site services, focusing on reliability, safety and compliance.
You will:
Operate, maintain and fault-find on site services plant including boilers, refrigeration, utilities, pipework and effluent systems
Carry out preventative maintenance to keep services available and downtime low
Work with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
Carry out pipefitting and general site fabrication and services repairs
Complete portable appliance testing (PAT) and emergency lighting testing
Maintain accurate test logs and service records
Reduce downtime caused by services plant failures
Monitor and control environmental impact within your area of responsibility
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and risk management standards
Work with commissioning engineers and site teams on new equipment and upgrades
Apply continuous improvement and lean thinking to improve plant performance
This is a role where you’ll be trusted to work on your own initiative and expected to take ownership.

What I’m looking for
You’ll ideally be apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 minimum and comfortable working across utilities and site services.
You’ll need to be:
Highly organised and able to plan your workload effectively
Confident working independently and making decisions
Comfortable working in a pressurised manufacturing environment
Strong on communication and practical problem-solving
Willing to recommend and implement improvements
