Job Title: Insight Analyst

Reporting to: Insight Manager

Salary : Competitive

Hours Per Week: 37.5 Hours

Role Purpose:

Owning the creation & delivery of actionable insight to deliver true change to our client’s business.

Building relationships across our clients with regular and frequent client contact including commercial presentations, performance reviews and analysis is central to the success of this position.

The role will play a central part in the visualisation of data to ensure that the client receives analysis and measurement in an easy to use and visually engaging format.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting, Insight & Evaluation

1. To build relationships across our Clients with regular and frequent contact including attendance at commercial presentations, performance reviews and analysis

2. To build relationships with the Account team and the Insight team

3. Ensure great quality of analysis to enable the delivery of a profitable service with a great return on investment for the Client

4. To actively identify and exploit the growth opportunities within a highly competitive marketplace

5. To support in directing and measuring the field team performance, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness

6. Lead the identification of commercial opportunity in order to direct and challenge client strategy

Operational analysis

7. To forecast the impact of the field team operation – Size of Prize

8. To measure the actual impact of field operations – ROI (Return on Investment)

Impact analysis

9. To provide analysis and visuals on New product launches and reasoning for success

10. To produce and monitor promotional effectiveness, profitable promotions and compliance

11. To supply analysis on Price impact

12. To measure and analyse the impact of POS (Point of Sale) location

13. To deliver distribution compliance and opportunity analysis

14. To provide impactful analysis on Planogram compliance

15. Support with the analysis of Intervention impact and lost sales opportunity

16. Lead the analysis on supply chain operational efficiencies

Presentation & Reporting

17. Responsible for producing and presenting the findings of analysis to key contacts within Client’s group

18. To build and deliver regular data reports to the Client on a frequent basis, ensuring to deliver cutting insight and visual impact

19. To take ownership for ensuring all system generated reports are delivered accurately and to an agreed schedule

Field Optimisation

20. To provide and maintain a dynamic call file set driven by EPOS data analytical capability and other third-party data sources

21. To consistently utilise territory optimisation and journey planning software

Other Requirements

22. Regularly read and follow Company policies and procedures at all times. Polices can be found on the intranet or by asking a member of the HR team

23. Take personal responsibility to comply with Health & Safety Regulations

24. Take responsibility for your own personal development and ensure all mandatory training is completed on time

25. Adhere to all General Data Protection Rules and policies (GDPR)

Skills:

Essential:

• Advanced Excel

• Intermediate/ Advanced PowerPoint

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including rapport building and influencing

• Target driven with good time and task management skills

• Self-motivated, confident, and determined

• Administration and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Power BI

• Retail and/ or FMCG experience

Person Specification:

Good communication (written and verbal communication skills including ability to present)

Good interpersonal skills, including rapport building and influencing

Analysis and judgement skills / Decision making

Target driven with good time and task management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Customer focus

Self-motivated, confident and determined

Advanced level Excel

Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint skills

Good administration and organisational skills

Previous experience with Power BI desirable but not essential

Previous retail and/or FMCG experience desirable
