Overview
We are seeking confident individuals who have a passion for supporting children and young people within their educational settings. Veritas Education Recruitment works with a variety of schools in and around the Leeds/West Yorkshire area, looking for supportive, enthusiastic, and reliable teaching assistants/support staff to help in their schools. We currently have multiple learning assistant roles available around the Leeds area, from mainstream primary schools (Early Years to Year 6) to Special Needs Settings supporting learners with autism, behavioural, physical and learning needs.
Mainstream and SEN School support roles are a great way to start your journey into education and to build on your current experience, as you develop new skills for supporting additional needs, behaviour and lesson content.
Responsibilities
* Support children and young people within educational settings
* Assist across mainstream and SEN settings (Early Years to Year 6 and beyond)
* Contribute to supporting learners with autism, behavioural, physical and learning needs
* Engage with daily lessons and activities, helping to maintain a positive learning environment
Qualifications and Attributes
* Passion for wanting to support and help children/young people
* Confident in supporting children in different classes and age groups
* Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic, and reliable
* Able to build meaningful relationships with both learners and staff
* Willing to get involved in day-to-day lessons and activities across the school
