We have an exciting new opportunity (as part of a new department within our Cyber Security team) for a Security Governance Specialist to join us here at the Technology Group in SLC. In this role you will support the Security Governance Manager in developing and implementing the organisation's security governance framework. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, managing security policies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain a robust security posture. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. What you bring: Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent practical experience), plus a security certification from a recognised certification body (e.g., ISC2, ISACA, BCS) Working knowledge as a technical SME in at least one information security or cybersecurity domain, with solid understanding of security technologies and control implementation Working knowledge of key frameworks (at least one of the following: NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), PCI DSS, NIST, and CIS) with practical understanding of their application Proficiency in evaluating the effectiveness of security controls and providing actionable feedback on enhancements aligned to industry best practices Experience in maintaining and assessing compliance with security policies and procedures, with ability to advise on adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders to achieve successful implementation of control objectives from recognised security standards, with strong collaborative skills across internal departments Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, combined with very good verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with diverse audiences Benefits You can expect more from a career with SLC.
