We invite you to join the Highway & Traffic Service as a Highway Planning Liaison Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to support the Croydon Network and construction traffic within the Growth Zone, promoting the sustainable growth, revitalization, and regeneration of Croydon’s key areas.
Your responsibilities will include negotiating and commenting on Construction Logistic plans in collaboration with the Development Manager, managing budgets, implementing traffic schemes, organizing work schedules, and ensuring permits are obtained for works on the public highway. You will also provide highway control comments on new developments within the London Borough of Croydon, supervise scheme delivery, and work with relevant road user groups such as TfL’s RSM/Surface to develop assessment criteria and agree on appropriate measures on behalf of the council.
