Our Finance team plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It provides essential support for the enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to meet stakeholder commitments. The team’s work informs leadership decisions, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains financial discipline, transparency, and controls, while delivering timely and meaningful information.
How you will create an impact
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK Collections Centre of Excellence, where you will be a trusted partner within our reporting and consolidations function overseeing USD $8bn of GWP across 11 geographical clusters and 27 countries, representing the largest region outside of the U.S.
The role is suited for a Finance professional with a background in Cash Operations, Finance Operations, or Accounts Payable/Receivable, comfortable working with large data sets and seeking growth within the insurance industry. Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with onshore and third-party collection partners across the UK and EMEA to support accurate and timely month-end financial reporting, improve collection processes, and contribute to our future operating model.
* Delivering collections financial reports aligned with monthly and quarterly cycles, adhering to SOX and audit control frameworks.
* Owning AIG’s live ledger reporting, which consolidates various country subledgers.
* Participating in stakeholder meetings and building strong relationships with technical support and financial teams.
* Learning to regression test system upgrades and perform user acceptance testing, providing quality feedback for remediation.
* Identifying opportunities for standardization within collections.
* Providing ad-hoc support for collections initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Experience in a technical finance role within Financial Services.
* Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
* Comfort with handling large data volumes and proficiency in office software.
* Excel skills, with familiarity with macros and VBA advantageous.
