We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in a Care home ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy contributing to a well-maintained space.
There are two shift patterns.
Shift 1
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday &
Thursday
Shift 2
Thursday
Friday, Saturday & Sunday &
Responsibilities
* Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
* Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to high standards
* Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
* Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or shortages promptly
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure service expectations are met
Requirements
* Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
* Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
* Disclosure preferred
