Job Description
iMultiply is working in partnership with an exciting organisation in Edinburgh for a Finance Business Partner to provide high-quality financial analysis and management accounting services on a temporary basis for around 4 months to start with.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the key finance contact for multiple teams, offering expert insight into financial performance.
2. Develop and deliver high-quality management information to support budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
3. Assist in preparing the annual budget, providing technical support and financial guidance to budget holders.
4. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
5. Support year-end statutory accounts preparation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and reconciliations.
6. Maintain the asset register, ensuring alignment with financial systems and statutory accounts.
7. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including budget holders, auditors, and local government bodies.
Skills and Experience required:
1. Proven experience in a finance business partnering role or similar financial management position.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
4. Ability to present financial information in a clear, concise, and meaningful way.
5. Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting principles.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
7. Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is desirable.
