Overview
My client is a specialist manufacturer working across multiple engineering sectors. They are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience using Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD to join their design team based in Westerham.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role within manufacturing/engineering
* Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD
* Experience producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and BOMs
* Understanding of sheet metal design, fabrications, or assemblies
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Able to work individually as well as part of a team
* Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, MEng, or similar)
Responsibilities
* Producing detailed 3D models and drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD
* Working with Vault for data management and project collaboration
* Supporting the design and development of mechanical assemblies and products
* Preparing BOMs and technical documentation to support production
* Liaising with production, purchasing, and other engineering teams
* Ensuring designs meet company and industry standards
