Electronic Assembly Technician – Cumbernauld
Salary: Circa £32,000
Hours: 37 per week (rotating shift)
We are looking for a skilled electronics technician to join our team in Cumbernauld. If you enjoy problem solving, hands-on work, and want to grow your career in electronics, this role is for you!
Responsibilities
* Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic products
* Use diagnostics tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering tools)
* Carry out functional, operational and environmental testing
* Analyse and interpret test data to support repairs
* Read and work from schematic drawings
* Prepare accurate written reports on test results and repair activities
Qualifications
* HNC/HND in electronic engineering (or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of electronics principles and repair techniques
* Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment
* Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
* Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator)
* Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron and hand drill
* Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow procedures and read schematics
Shift Information
Rotating shifts:
* 2 weeks on Dayshift – Mon–Thu 7:00–15:30, Fri 7:00–13:30
* 2 weeks on PM Shift – Mon–Thu 15:00–23:00, Fri 13:00–20:00
