Purpose of the Role
Our PMO & Performance team focus on embedding strong project controls, improving regional performance and delivering better programme outcomes for both Galliford Try and our clients.
As Performance Manager, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision making across complex construction programmes and portfolios. Working closely with the Senior Performance Manager and Head of PMO, you will lead regional performance reporting, dashboards and project controls that provide delivery teams and leadership with accurate, real-time insight into programme performance.
This role acts as a key interface between operational teams, support functions, senior leadership and clients, ensuring reporting outputs align with strategic objectives and drive improved project outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
1. Lead regional performance management, reporting and project controls across programmes and portfolios.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide accurate, real-time performance data.
3. Monitor regional performance metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
4. Detect early signs of performance issues and work with operational teams to implement mitigation or recovery plans.
5. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to delivery teams and senior leadership.
6. Ensure internal and external KPI reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with business and client requirements.
7. Present performance reports and insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision making.
8. Work with regional teams to embed consistent performance frameworks and reporting standards.
9. Collaborate with other Performance Managers and PMO leadership to develop reporting tools, dashboards and performance frameworks.
10. Support the development of performance management capability across project teams through training and coaching.
About You
11. Strong experience in performance management, reporting or project controls within complex project environments.
12. Proven experience using data and analytics to support operational and strategic decision making.
13. Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting tools, including Power BI and Excel.
14. Understanding of project delivery and controls disciplines including planning, cost control, change management, quality and HS&E.
15. Experience supporting performance reporting across large programmes or project portfolios.
16. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively with operational teams, senior leadership and clients.
Desirable:
17. Project Controls related qualification.
18. Familiarity with project planning software such as Primavera P.
19. Understanding of data architecture or data models.
