Your new role The Technical Author Apprentice will work closely with our design engineering and project management teams to create concise and accurate literature to enable the continued safe use of our products in service. You will also be responsible for maintaining configuration control of publications. What You Can Expect From The Role Compilation of Company Technical Publications i.a.w., company procedures, to enable the continued safe use of our products in service. Maintaining configuration control of publications i.a.w., company procedures. Maintaining consistency and accuracy across all product documentation. Managing publication related queries. Liaising with project managers/stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met. Manage the document design and style and review document lifecycle to ensure publications are using current methodologies and technology. Support with the compilation of other departments documentation as reasonably requested by Design Engineering management. Evaluate, define and resolve design and manufacturing problems. In depth understanding of Company Technical Publications, and the purpose of this documentation. Compilation of Company Technical Publications. Managing configuration control of Company Technical Publications. Experience And Qualifications Minimum of A-Level or equivalent in an engineering/IT/technical discipline High level of IT literacy Meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Highly developed communication skills in English, both written and verbal Knowledge of change management process Knowledge of Simplified Technical English Experience of Adobe Creative Suite or similar authoring software The ability to multitask, prioritise and learn quickly Experience of the change control process within an engineering environment Technical writing and/or experience within the manufacturing industry, ideally in an aerospace EASA Part 21G or DAOS environment.
