Job Title: Used Vehicle Prep Technician
Full time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Saturday morning on a rota basis
Position pays: £30,000 basic £41,500,000 OTE (dependant on experience)
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy and presentation ready for customer handover and sale. Working within a busy and professional workshop environment, the role will also involve supporting day to day workshop operations through tyre-fitting, wheel balancing, wheel alignment checks.
* Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles.
* Prepare used vehicles to approved Sinclair and manufacturers standards
* Fit, remove, repair and balance tyres safely and efficiently
* Carry out wheel alignment checks and report defects or wear issues
* Complete basic servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs as required
* Identify and report additional vehicle work to the Workshop Controller
* Maintain workshop equipment and tyre fitting machinery to the highest standards
* Support the workshop team in maintaining a clean organised and safe working environment
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
* Carrying out any other reasonable duties required within the workshop
More about you
* A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical and technical repair
* Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
* Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
* A current full driving Licence.
