* Thursday: 5:00pm–7:50pm
* Friday: 4:00pm–7:00pm
* Saturday: 9:00am–2:00pm
* Pay: £18–23 per hour (new tutors start at £18, with yearly reviews to progress through the pay scale)
* Potential to grow to weekday 4–8pm and weekend 9–5
Are you a confident, energetic musician who loves working with children and helping them explore music? Anthem Tuition is looking for a drum teacher to join our team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, is proactive, and wants to support students in building confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
About the Role
You will teach small group drum lessons to primary and high school-aged students. Anthem provides ready-made lesson plans, song resources, and structured lesson content, so you can focus on teaching and inspiring students. While there is flexibility for students to pick songs, the main focus is preparing children for our shows and performances.
You will also:
* Prepare for lessons and bring any additional resources needed
* Write brief weekly lesson notes and set practice homework
* Encourage students to attend lessons and participate in performance opportunities
* Support students in exploring music and building confidence
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality small group drum lessons following Anthem's lesson structures
* Encourage attendance and engagement through positive reminders and support
* Support students' progression through creative and motivating teaching
* Prepare and manage resources efficiently
* Work as part of the Anthem Music School team to maintain a supportive, fun, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
* Confident, organised, and professional
* Friendly, approachable, and good with young children
* Proactive and willing to take initiative in preparing lessons and supporting students
* Able to follow pre-made lesson structures and adapt where appropriate
* Passionate about music education and helping children develop creativity and confidence
* Works well in a team and communicates positively with students and staff
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Music, Music Performance, or Music Technology (desirable)
* Grade 8 (or equivalent) on drums
* Previous teaching experience (especially with small groups or school-aged children)
* Experience preparing students for performances or shows
(Training and support can be provided for the right candidate.)
