Prospero Teaching are working with a Specialist SEMH Secondary School based in Havant. We are currently seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants / Behaviour Support Workers to join the team.
The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with children with Autism and those with social communication difficulties would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed.

* Position – SEMH Teaching Assistant

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
* Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
* Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
* Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
* The ability to grow individual personal development.
* Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
* Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
* Experience supporting an individual with Autism/SEMH
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references
