This role seeks a self-motivated candidate to manage engineering projects end-to-end across Thames Water's operational sites and estate. We expect you to manage all aspects of each CAPEX project, including initial scoping, tendering, contractor procurement, site setup, health and safety inspections, commissioning, training, and handover to operations teams. What you will be doing as an Engineering Project Manager Manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each. Handle multiple live projects simultaneously, with additional projects in scoping and tendering phases. Develop innovative solutions to operational problems, improving site efficiency and delivering value for money. Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to define cost-effective solutions with minimal risk. Oversee health and safety policies, undertake monthly audits, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations. Manage construction phases in line with internal policies and industry standards, ensuring full compliance. Work with delivery partners to ensure timely project completion. Maintain compliance with Asset Standards, British & International Standards, and professional codes. Forecast project finances and report on work progress (VOWD). Draft and approve pre-construction information, project programs, risk assessments, RAMS, and construction phase plans. Oversee commissioning, training, and handover of completed projects to operations teams. Ensure completion documents, including test certificates, manuals, safety files, and drawings, are available and handed over. Location & Working Conditions Your base will be either Lane End WTW or Beddington. The role requires travel to multiple sites, requiring a full driving license, vehicle access, and insurance. A car allowance is provided monthly. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week. Qualifications & Skills Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred. Relevant qualifications such as BTEC/HND or equivalent experience encouraged. Knowledge of Water Processing and Wastewater treatment advantageous. Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work independently. Understanding of Health and Safety standards, including CDM, with training provided. Salary & Benefits Up to £64,500 per annum, including car allowance, depending on experience. 26 days holiday, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays.
