We focus on delivering net zero emissions from domestic heating through heat‑pump roll‑out.
We require talented engineers to turn our MVP into a scalable product and be first to market.
Staff Software Engineer (JS) – Key Responsibilities
* Software Development
o Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, writing clean, efficient code.
o Implement new features, fix bugs, and optimise existing code.
o Collaborate with product managers and developers on design and technical feasibility.
o Integrate security best practices and conduct code reviews.
o Optimise for performance & scalability using profiling tools.
o Design and implement APIs and microservices, ensuring security and documentation.
* Quality Assurance
o Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (functional, regression, performance, security).
o Automate testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
o Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
o Track and resolve defects using bug‑tracking tools.
* CI/CD & DevOps
o Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
o Integrate security checks (static analysis, vulnerability scanning, compliance checks) into pipelines.
* Agile Development
o Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
o Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and refine requirements.
o Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
* Education
o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Experience
o Senior developer experience in a start‑up or fast‑paced environment.
o Strong agile development background.
o Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
o API (RESTful/Socket/OpenQL), microservice architecture.
o Cloud‑native platform patterns.
* Technical Skills
o Proficiency in .NET (6) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
o Experience with SQL, schema design, optimisation.
o Experience with testing frameworks and tools.
o Knowledge of CI/CD tools and security practices.
o Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
o Experience with data scraping, modelling and security.
o Current tech stack: .NET (6), C#, React, MySQL, Docker, Python.
* Soft Skills
o Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
o Strong communication and collaboration.
o Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
