Axcis Education are currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in the North Devon area starting ASAP on a full time basis, or in September 2025. The position is working primarily in small groups, booster sessions and on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis in the nurture provision with SEND students. The hours are 8.30-3.30 and the rate of pay is between £90-£100, depending on your previous experience. The school’s approach to the curriculum supports a vision of preparing students for a productive, safe and happy adult life. The foundations of this approach are built through forming strong and trusting relationships with their pupils in order to meet individual needs to move past challenges and achieve their goals. A knowledge of social, emotional and mental health, and of the autistic spectrum condition is paramount due to the range of needs that the school supports.
