The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Supervisor / Team Leader to join our growing domiciliary care service in Solihull and surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in home care who is ready to step into (or continue in) a leadership position while remaining hands‑on when required. You will be primarily office‑based, with regular fieldwork for supervision and spot checks, and you will also provide care when needed to support service continuity.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery across the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support Care Assistants in the community
* Carry out spot checks and quality monitoring in the field
* Ensure care is delivered in line with care plans, CQC standards, company policies, and individual client needs
* Support the development, review, and updating of care plans and risk assessments
* Assist with induction, shadowing, and ongoing training of new and existing staff
* Identify training needs and escalate appropriately
* Assist with client reviews and introductions
* Monitor and audit electronic MAR charts monthly
* Attend weekly office and team meetings
* Participate in the on‑call rota (alternate weeks) and coordinate care cover when required
* Provide daily on‑call handover reports when applicable
* Cover care shifts when required due to sickness, holidays, or onboarding new clients
* Maintain accurate documentation and administration

About You
* Previous domiciliary care experience is essential
* Experience in a senior carer, supervisor, or team leader role is highly desirable
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care
* Reliable and flexible, with willingness to participate in on‑call duties
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
