Overview
A private client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a beautifully appointed 14,000 sq. ft. residence. The ideal candidate is discreet, organized, reliable, and experienced working in large luxury homes. The role focuses exclusively on housekeeping, laundry, and household organization—no cooking involved. The client travels frequently, so the housekeeper should be comfortable providing additional coverage during travel periods to ensure the home remains fully maintained, secure, and guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Deep Cleaning
- Full daily cleaning of all interior spaces across a 14,000 sq. ft. home
- Rotational deep cleaning of all rooms, surfaces, and finishes
- Care and cleaning of high-end materials, furniture, flooring, and household items
- Maintain pristine cleanliness in all formal, informal, and guest areas
- Daily tidying and organization to ensure rooms remain prepared for principal return
Laundry & Wardrobe Care
- Laundry for linens, towels, and personal items
- Ironing, steaming, and stain removal
- Organization of closets, seasonal items, and storage systems
Organization & Household Systems
- Maintain household inventory including cleaning supplies and toiletries
- Keep pantries, closets, and storage areas organized
- Maintain overall order and cleanliness throughout the home
Home Oversight During Travel
- Maintain all interior spaces in perfect condition
- Coordinate access for approved vendors as needed
- Monitor home security and report concerns
- Perform light household management tasks to ensure smooth operations
General Support
- Accept deliveries and manage packages
- Assist with simple errands
- Maintain a calm, professional, and unobtrusive presence
- Communicate clearly with the principal or household manager
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in private homes or luxury estates
- Strong laundry and wardrobe-care skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to maintain discretion and privacy
- Comfortable providing additional support during principal travel
- Trustworthy, punctual, and capable of long-term commitment
- Eligibility to work in the United States
