Salary: £11.00 – £16.00 per hour based on shift pattern

As an RSW, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting young people in their daily lives. You will attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, act as a role model, and help them work through difficulties to reach their goals and ambitions.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality care and support for children and young people.
* Working within guidelines from the 1989 Children’s Act, National Minimum Standards, Every Child Matters, and other relevant legislation.
* Creating a nurturing, supportive, and caring environment where children feel safe and secure.
* Establishing positive relationships with children and young people.
* Following care plans and ensuring they are up to date.
* Attending to practical childcare matters such as cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance.
* Acting as a key worker to ensure plans are met and current.
* Providing emotional support during times of difficulty or stress.
* Supporting young people in achieving their goals.
* Assisting with educational needs and extracurricular activities, including classroom support if needed.
* Acting as an advocate during meetings involving the young person.
* Dealing with challenging behaviour.

Skills and requirements:
Minimum 1 year of care experience (preferably working with children and young people) in the UK within the last 2 years.
