Base pay range
Primary Teacher - Secondary Provision Salary: £33,500 - £52,000
* Welcome bonus of £3000 if you apply from 16th April 2025 - 16th May 2025. Bonus paid on successful completion of probation: £1500 after 6 months and £1500 after 12 months.
Main Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of a teacher is to ensure effective learning of pupils. Teachers contribute to the wider success of the school, providing pastoral care, supporting social and emotional progress, and engaging in extracurricular activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Set high expectations to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils. Establish a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment.
2. Promote good progress and outcomes by being accountable for pupils' attainment and progress, teaching 1:1 or in small groups.
3. Plan lessons based on pupils' capabilities and prior knowledge, incorporating individual needs.
4. Use data and assessments to monitor progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
5. Demonstrate good subject knowledge and promote literacy and cross-curricular links.
6. Deliver well-structured lessons, fostering a love of learning and reflecting on teaching effectiveness.
7. Differentiate teaching to meet diverse needs, including updating Individual Learning Programmes.
8. Use assessment to provide feedback and guide pupils' progress.
9. Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining high standards and positive relationships.
10. Contribute to self-evaluation, professional development, and wider school responsibilities.
11. Follow safeguarding policies and undertake 'Keeping In Touch' days as scheduled.
Person Specification
* Qualifications: A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, QTS.
* Experience: Lesson planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluating, especially with pupils who have SEMH needs.
* Skills: Creating a safe learning environment, engaging teaching methods, organization, and effective communication.
* Other: Commitment to safeguarding, passion for teaching, resilience, and positive attitude.
