Support Worker Location: Great Holm, Milton Keynes Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week. Part-time hours considered.) Are you looking for a busy, rewarding role where no two days are the same? Join our friendly and welcoming coffee shop in Great Holm, where we support people with learning disabilities in a vibrant working environment. We re looking for someone who enjoys being active. You ll be on your feet for most of the day, moving between the kitchen and caf floor. This role suits someone who s energetic, physically fit, and happy to stay on the move while making a meaningful difference. You don t need to be a professional chef, but kitchen confidence is a must. Whether you love to cook from scratch or are just getting started with baking basics, you ll be supporting people to prepare meals, serve customers, handle money, and develop practical, work-based skills they can take forward with confidence. This is a varied and hands-on role involving everything from menu planning and food prep to customer service, till operation, and supporting catering projects. We regularly work with local partners like The Parks Trust and Bucks Fire & Rescue, offering a wide range of food services, so flexibility and a love of teamwork are key. What we re looking for: Someone who enjoys cooking or baking and feels confident in the kitchen Comfortable being on your feet and active for most of the working day Able to juggle a variety of tasks with energy and enthusiasm Warm, patient, and caring, with a passion for helping others thrive If you re excited by the idea of combining hospitality and meaningful support work, and you're happy to be on the go throughout the day, we d love to hear from you! IND1 About you Customer service and catering experience would be ideal, however this is by no means essential. Our coffee shop is very popular, and as a result this is a physically demanding role. You will enjoy a varied, flexible working pattern. This is a shift-based role supporting a rota that includes weekends and evenings. While you are working to encourage people's development, MacIntyre will also commit to supporting you to become a confident and successful support worker. This means that, whatever your working background, you will receive training to ensure we can deliver the best possible support. You must hold a UK man ual driving licence in order to drive the bakery van. About us MacIntyre is a national charity which supports over 1,200 people with a learning disability and/or autism.
