What You'll Do
* Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts ranging from service agreements to major capital projects
* Provide expert procurement law advice ensuring compliance with public sector regulations
* Handle grant funding agreements and subsidy control matters
* Advise on GDPR compliance across commercial arrangements
* Support ICT contract negotiations and technology procurement
* Work on construction and development agreements for major infrastructure projects
* Collaborate with finance, project management, and service delivery teams
* Provide training and guidance to officers on commercial and procurement matters

What We're Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor with current practicing certificate, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx
* Strong commercial contracts experience with public sector knowledge preferred
* Understanding of procurement law and public sector regulations
* Experience with grant funding agreements and subsidy control (desirable)
* Knowledge of GDPR and data protection in commercial contexts
* Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
* Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal colleagues
* Ambition to develop expertise in high-value commercial work
