Teacher of English – Supply (Short & Long-Term) | Wigan
Vision for Education is working in partnership with secondary schools across Wigan and is currently recruiting inspiring Teachers of English for supply roles, covering both short-term and long-term opportunities.

The Role
As a Supply Teacher of English, you will:
1. Deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
2. Inspire a love of reading, writing and spoken language
3. Support students to develop confidence, creativity and critical thinking
4. Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
5. Uphold high expectations for progress, effort and presentation
6. Adapt quickly and confidently to different school environments

What You’ll Need
To be considered, you must:
7. Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS or PGCE)
8. Have a genuine passion for English and literature
9. Be able to provide suitable references
10. Hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply)
11. Have the Right to Work in the UK
Pay: Competitive and dependent on experience, training and qualifications.
