Responsibilities: We provide senior technical leadership across Field Operations squads. We define engineering standards, architectural patterns and technical direction to ensure the platform is scalable, resilient and aligned with our technology strategy. We own the end-to-end software development lifecycle across multiple squads. We ensure teams follow robust engineering practices through discovery, design, build, testing, deployment and operations. We lead complex design decisions and technical solutioning. We run technical reviews, challenge design options and ensure solutions are maintainable, secure, performant and aligned to best practice. We improve delivery capability through platform reliability and DevOps maturity. We enhance deployment pipelines, observability, alerting, incident handling, recovery procedures and operational readiness. We manage stakeholders and maintain transparent communication across product, operations, delivery and business teams. We coordinate plans, manage risk, align priorities and set clear expectations. We drive engineering excellence and uplift team capability. We track, analyse and improve engineering excellence metrics. We coach engineers and promote a culture of learning, continuous improvement and high-quality engineering. We support data-driven and API-centric integration design. We ensure APIs, integrations and data flows follow consistent patterns and strong standards for data quality, security, scalability and operational resilience. We improve how work is done by simplifying processes, reducing technical debt, automating repetitive tasks and using AI-assisted engineering. We enhance developer experience and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
