Role summary
:
The role of Supervisor here at DX is to manage the day to day running of the team to ensure all aspects of the operation are completed in a customer focused, secure and cost-effective way. This role has both people management responsibilities as well as customer contact. The Supervisor acts as a point of escalation for issues that arise during the shift and works as part of the overall site management team.
Key responsibilities
1. Plans and co-ordinates the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve team objectives and targets
2. Ensure all operational procedures and activities are undertaken in line with guidelines and expectations
3. Builds relationships with customers/suppliers and utilises relationships to ensure issues are resolved speedily
4. Supervises all personnel to ensure sufficient skills are available to cover all roles
5. Monitor and review operational performance and takes timely action to address any issues and build on best practices
6. To produce reports and management statistics when required
Additional information on this role
If you have previous supervisory experience gained in a fast-paced work environment and are proficient in Word and Excel that would be an advantage in this role.
