The purpose of this Junior SEO Executive role is to provide supportand implementation of CMO Group’s SEO strategy, encompassing on-pageSEO, short and long-form content, and technical SEO. You don’t need tohave a wealth of SEO knowledge for this position, we’re looking forsomeone with a passion for learning and developing their skillset,ready to dive in and form a key part of our in-house SEO team.
The right candidate for this role will be a strong independentworker, using their initiative to drive toward business goals. We muststrike the perfect balance between customer and commercial so ournewest Junior SEO Executive must be able to digest data from varioussources to understand the full picture.
KeyAccountabilities & Responsibilities :
* Identifyand implement on-page SEO elements like H1s, meta descriptions, metatitles, and on-page customer-facing text
* Carry out keywordresearch and competitor analysis in your day-to-day role, sharing thiswith other stakeholders
* Own and develop keymerchandising/SEO elements of our sites (i.e. attributes, internalsite search)
* Maintain, identify opportunities for, and thenimplement changes to site structure and navigation using SEO and UXbest practices
* Suggest, write and implement new or refreshedcontent across all stores as appropriate
* Upload, edit andformat third party articles for Help & Advice across all stores,optimising this content and adding internal links where appropriate
* Action recommendations from technical audits, checking inwith key stakeholders
* Collaborate with Trading, Category andthe wider Marketing team to deliver our SEO strategy with commercialand customer in mind
* Competently use industry tools likeAhrefs, Google Search Console and Screaming Frog to carry out yourrole
* Learn and develop your skills in technical SEO, workingwith other in-house specialists
* Work proactively withTrading, Category and the wider Marketing team as they submit JIRAtickets with commercial-led suggestions or site changes
This is a hybrid position. Our new Junior SEO Executive willbe spending 3 days a week in our office in Plymouth.
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year SEOexperience in previous role desired but not essential
* Excellent demonstrable copywriting experience or excellent writtencommunication skills
* High attention to detail
* Adaptable and a fast learner – can you pick up new tasks quickly?
* Keenness to learn & develop SEO knowledge & experience withmanagement support
* Open and honest communicator – mistakes and uncertainties are howwe learn!
