If you’re passionate about Aviva’s sustainability ambition and delivering positive social impact in your local community, here’s an exciting new opportunity. We’re seeking a driven self-starter, a networker, and a ‘doer’ who loves to make things happen and deliver as part of a team.
Working in partnership with local businesses, councils, and community groups to understand the issues in the locality and then bringing together the levers of change across Aviva, our charitable partnerships, colleague volunteering, propositions and investment, we will drive significant social action to address the needs of our local communities.
A bit about the job:
This role is critical in enabling the delivery of Aviva’s ‘Place-Focussed’ approach to Social Action and developing a “Place Focussed” strategic direction. You will be ensuring the strategic alignment of activities, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, mobilising colleagues, and activating the vision and strategy for that locality with the sponsorship and support of the Site Ambassador and Group Sustainability and Social Action Team. Deeply embedded in your local community you will direct Aviva’s Social Action activities, enabling the community and our people to be stronger and more resilient.
The role requires a willingness to work across Aviva, often in agile project teams with shared objectives, to improve customer and community outcomes and help Aviva grow our business in a responsible and sustainable way.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

* Confident and articulate communicator, with an ability to develop internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Collaborative team player with the capability to inspire and motivate others and the conviction to make decisions to enable delivery.
* Analytical skills to assess local need and develop long-term strategies and implementation plans, with proven ability to execute successfully against strategic plans.
* Experience of measuring of social impact initiatives, setting parameters of success and reporting against measures
