The Role of Accounts Payable Assistant
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join their busy Finance Department. This administrative role supports the Accounts Payable team and Manager in processing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Assistant
Process and code purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
Support month-end processes and reporting requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
Provide general admin support to the Finance team
The Candidate
The successfully appointed Accounts Payable Assistant will have:
Previous experience in administration or finance (accounts payable experience desirable)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel essential)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Additional Skills & Job Titles
Experience with invoice processing and reconciliations
Knowledge of accounting systems (desirable)
Previous accounts/finance admin experience (desirable)
GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks
