Practice Culture
Friendly and close-knit team, with low staff turnover. Many staff members have been with us for >10 years and counting! We strive to work as a team, have regular clinical discussions, and are constantly moving the practice forwards, both clinically and professionally. Everyone has a voice within the team, and is listened to. We are active wellbeing and mental health advocates.
Location and Surrounding Area
Congleton (large town on the East Cheshire/Staffordshie/Derbyshire border), close to the Peak District (for rural-lovers), as well as Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool (for those who prefer the city!).
Caseload
Varied small anima and exotic (mainly rabbits and rodents), nice mix of medical and surgical cases. A key focus for us is on preventative care, and this is incorporated into our various clinics (feline blood pressure, weight clinics, healthy pet and wellness screens, etc.). We have dental X-ray, and generally perform dental procedures in two stages - all stage ones include full mouth X-rays. In addition to standard digital radiography, we also have an excellent ultrasound machine (with MC and PA probes). We are in the process of investing in endoscopy equipment. Our internal lab is extensive, allowing same-day results for many tests. Vets Now Macclesfield is our OOH provider.
