We have an exciting opportunity for 5 people to apply for casual roles as a Youth Worker at our Youth Hubs across East Sussex. Sessions run in the afternoon and evening unless specified otherwise.
We deliver sessions for young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 years for young people with SEN).
Responsibilities
* Support the Leader in Charge in the operation and running of the session, engaging young people in the community, offering support, advice, and guidance, and handling safeguarding concerns as a team.
* Detached/Outreach: visit young people where they are, ensure their voice is heard, provide activities, and signpost to local youth clubs and services.
* Funky Teens: SEN-inclusive group to develop social and life skills for young people with mild to moderate learning needs.
* Drop in Youth Activity Sessions: open-mixed groups where young people can socialise and develop life skills through positive activities.
* LGBTQ+: safe spaces for young people to explore identity and receive support and advice.
* Juniors: open-mixed groups where young people can socialise and develop life skills through fun activities.
What We Are Looking For
* Interpersonal skills with the ability to be sensitive to the needs of young people and relate to them at a meaningful level.
* Ability to design and deliver activities with and for young people.
* Ability to plan and deliver specific projects to engage young people.
