Senior Infrastructure Engineer
I am working with a well-established and award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, currently looking to expand their infrastructure team with an experienced Infrastructure Engineer. Based in Sheffield, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential and commercial developments.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of key infrastructure projects. You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and will play a hands-on role in technical design, project coordination, and client liaison.
The key responsibilities for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer role are:
1. Designing and preparing drawings for surface water drainage, sewer networks, and external levels in residential and commercial projects.
2. Designing and preparing highway designs including horizontal and vertical geometry (S38, S278, S104 standards).
3. Using specialist software such as AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage/Windes.
4. Producing technical schedules and documentation.
5. Attending meetings with clients, consultants, suppliers and stakeholders when required
6. Ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
7. Ensuring that appropriate design/service decisions are met.
8. Communicating with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
9. Supporting Graduate Engineers and mentoring junior staff.
10. Engaging in CPD, self-learning and personal development.
11. Actively working towards Chartered Engineering status (where applicable).
12. Coordinating your design work with other disciplines within the project team.
Experience required for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer role are:
13. Communicating with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
14. Experience in infrastructure design for residential projects.
15. Strong knowledge of highway and drainage design to adoptable standards (S38, S278, S104, S206).
16. Proficiency with relevant design software (AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage/Windes).
17. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
18. At least 5 years relevant experience
