Job Summary:
To assess and identify potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, and financial prosperity of TJX Europe. Responsible for supporting the implementation of the Distribution Health & Safety strategy and on-site processes and procedures, in order to effectively influence and control risks and reduce exposures. Influence on-site leaders and line managers to implement risk policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* To support the planning, development and implementation of the Company Health & Safety strategy and business plan.
* Support and develop site-based leaders and line managers, to ensure effective execution of the Distribution Health & Safety strategy, through influencing, coaching and development.
* Collate and analyse data to provide recommendations for leaders and line managers to improve corporate compliance.
* To positively influence line managers and associates to ensure compliance with risk policies and adopt best practices at all times.
* Maintain understanding of current and new legislation in country, communicate potential exposures and provide sound business solutions and policy change recommendations.
* Investigate serious incidents and provide recommendations for improvement and better regulatory compliance.
* Support Distribution PC based line managers and business partners, providing strategic direction, guidance and support on policy and strategy implementation.
* Plan and support external/internal audit programs. Make changes and recommendations based on feedback.
* Deliver safety based educational workshops for on-site leaders and line managers.
* Create and implement risk assessments and safe systems of work, based on site processes and procedures.
* Partner with site-based training team to provide expertise and guidance to provide the most effective learning solutions for leaders and line managers.
* Support the health & safety onboarding for new line managers and associates, to ensure compliance to health & safety policies and procedures and understanding of safe ways of working.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Minimum professional qualification to NEBOSHH general or equivalent.
* Analytical and reporting skills.
* Ability to build and influence effective partnerships at all levels.
* Presentation skills, ideally with a recognised training or teaching qualification.
* Naturally demonstrates leadership and culture behaviours.
* Strong understanding/knowledge of corporate procedures/policies/legal standards.
