We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and other behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities
* Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning for students with SEN, including:
o SEMH
o ADHD / ADD
o Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
o Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
o Conduct Disorder (CD)
o Obbsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
o Speech and Language Difficulties
* Create a safe, inclusive learning environment
* Help students develop coping strategies, social skills, and confidence
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement positive behaviour strategies

Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in SEN, SEMH, or similar support roles
* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
* Understanding of positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
* Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
