About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker in Poole, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering personalized care packages tailored to the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:
* Providing high levels of support and guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people.
* Establishing and maintaining positive, trusting relationships.
* Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
* Working flexibly across a rotating shift pattern, including sleep-in shifts.
What We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also passionate about supporting young people. Here’s what you need to bring:
* Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
* A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Residential Childcare Diploma, NVQ Level 3) or a commitment to achieve them.
* Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern on rotation. You will be supported by a team trained in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting, ensuring you have the tools to provide the best care possible.
