Permanent Opportunity – Stores/Metal Prep Operative Ashford OTE: £30,500pa (inclusive of bonus incentive) Basic Pay: £13.26/hr | 40.25 hrs/week | Mon-Thurs 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–4pm | Overtime @ 1.5x Benefits: 25 days annual leave bank holidays, pension up to 12%, bonus, death in service, loyalty award, holiday flex, EAP, free parking Role Purpose: Support the Stores function to maintain stock, materials, and sundry items, ensuring no shortages impact production. Includes machining and fabrication of sub-assembly components, kitting, and allocation to fabrication operatives. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and process goods; manage non-conformances Maintain accurate stock locations and system entries Allocate materials to jobs, “kit” production orders, support sub-assemblies Assist production operations and provide departmental cover Support audits, maintain housekeeping, follow company policies, and maintain confidentiality Skills & Experience: Organised, methodical, with stock/materials management experience Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
