Our client is a well-established North West contractor with a strong reputation for delivering new build residential and social housing developments across the region. Due to a growing pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a timber frame housing development.
The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the construction site. You will play a key role in ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, while gaining valuable experience on a timber frame residential scheme.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Site Manager with the daily management of site operations

Supervise subcontractors and site operatives to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
*
Assist with timber frame installation coordination and sequencing
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, RAMS, and site regulations
*
Carry out site inspections and quality checks in line with NHBC standards
*
Assist with site paperwork, reports, and progress tracking
*
Conduct toolbox talks and site inductions where required
*
Support with snagging, testing, and handover of plots
Requirements
*
Experience working on residential new build projects
*
Exposure to timber frame construction desirable
*
Good understanding of construction processes and health & safety standards
*
Strong organisational and communication skills
*
Motivated to develop a career in site management
Qualifications

SSSTS or SMSTS – preferred
*
CSCS Card – essential
*
First Aid at Work – desirable
*
Construction-related qualification or NVQ in Construction Management – desirable
