Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEN English Teacher to join welcoming SEN schools in Northampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support secondary-aged students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated English lessons
* Support pupils working significantly below age-related expectations
* Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and therapists
* Monitor progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
* Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning
This role suits a confident educator who believes in personalised, inclusive education and can manage behaviour effectively with empathy and consistency.
Requirements
* QTS/QTLS or equivalent (Essential)
* SEN or SEMH teaching experience (Desirable)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* An understanding of individual learning needs
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
