HealthHero, a leading digital clinic, is seeking a Primary Care Centre Assistant (PCCA) to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin on a part‑time, permanent basis.
About The Role
PCCA is a dual role involving driving and reception duties to support the efficient operation of the 24/7 Integrated Urgent Care service across multiple bases: Telford, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Whitchurch.
Shift patterns vary and include weekday evenings, weekends, and overnight sessions (23:00–08:00). The role operates on a rolling 4‑week rota, which will be agreed after a successful interview.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive clinicians to patients’ homes safely and legally, complying with current driving regulations.
* Perform basic vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness, fuel and equipment.
* Accurately record all medications and consumables used during shifts.
* Act as the first point of contact for patients and carers at designated treatment centres.
* Support clinicians while on shift and communicate with patients via telephone for comfort and welfare checks.
* Keep the treatment centre clean, tidy and well‑stocked.
* Maintain medication and consumable stock levels using company computer systems.
* Replenish car stock at shift end and manage stock rotation and expiry dates.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points and good driving experience.
* Applications will be required to pass a driving medical and an Enhanced DBS check.
* Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
* Compassionate, respectful, and personable demeanor with the ability to work under pressure and in emergencies.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle weighted emergency equipment.
